Patience is a Virtue.

Or so I am told. I am dying for Don to do the retrofit for Dexter's car seat as all the snow has melted for a little while. Don is very busy. I'm even willing to postpone important household to-do things like put siding on the front of the bungalow again in favour of Madsen play time. We'll see what sort of mood he is in when he gets back from walking Dougal.

I would just like to add that all the TV shows where they show people painting a room in about an hour or doing an entire renovation in a week? LIES. Doing things properly often takes way more time than one might anticipate. Sigh. But, having to do things two or three times over in order to fix a hasty job is also not a valuable way to spend time.

So what would make Miss Sarah happy? House renovating and bike retrofitting that is:

1. Excellent Quality.

2. Fast and efficient.

3. Without unforeseen complications.

4. Of minimal expense (monetary and emotional).

I'm skeptical about whether this even exists!

I would just do it myself, except I'm not handy with tools. And my limited arm span isn't ideal for handling large sheets of plywood. And it wouldn't be so super professional and awesome as Don's finished product.

So here I am on a Sunday morning while Dexter is napping. Drinking a coffee while sitting in the Madsen's tub. Waiting...

I've also called dibs on riding the bike first, with or without the baby in it. I know that seems childish. But for some reason the thought of somebody else riding it first just makes me sad.

Ah, and here's a picture of me explaining my zombie dream last night to a friend. In the dream I was bit on the hand by a zombie dog while I was trying to close a door on its rabid zombie muzzle. I didn't feel like I was getting sick or dying and proceeded to have a fierce moral dilemma about whether I should get somebody to shoot me then, or wait until I felt sick and dying-like. I wasn't sure if zombie dogs were infectious!

After my other post about zombies, our friend got Dexter this onesie from the Deadmonton festival.

Eat Brains!
