I was ecstatic when Crystal asked me if I was free to go to the ballet this Friday. I was actually supposed to go to a work-related dinner with Don, but he was understanding when I said I was going to the ballet with Crystal and Bryce instead. It's Romeo and Juliet, which is not my favourite tragedy, but Prokoviev... I LOVE Prokoviev.

Bryce and I rode my bikes to the auditorium and had quite the ordeal locking up. Good news is the recent renovations to the venue include bike racks! Bad news is that we were trying to lock up both our swoop tube frames with one standard sized u-lock. We actually managed to get it done.

Here's Bryce punching the cross light at an intersection.

I love that the Pashley has lights all included. Great for night riding.

The performance was wonderful. Even though I tire of the R&J story, the athleticism of the dancing is really amazing. And I always love live orchestra. So great.

Crystal is a lovely ballet companion.

Here's my outfit at home, without the outdoor layers on. Crystal actually found this dress for me when we were out shopping a few weeks ago.

A new hair band that my mom bought for me.

New pewter satin shoes with bows. Surprisingly comfortable!

I've commented on this before, but the thing I love most about biking to these events is all the incredulous stares I get while I ride away and all the cars are lined up going nowhere fast. Ha!
